1150rThis isn't the complete list.  There were a few more small items
that I can't remember right now.  For those of you planning a
similar trip, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Bike:
2004 BMW R1150R

Accessories:
- BMW System Cases
- Marsee 22L tail bag
- Garmin Legend-Cx GPS c/w RAM mount (2 x 256 mb miscoSD cards)
- Touring windshield (tall)
- Helen2wheels waterproof roll-top bags (2)
- MEC 10 litre dry bags (2)
- Seal-Line 30 litre dry bag (+ assorted small dry bags)
- BMW tankbag
- Lockable oil filler cap
- ROK straps (4)
- Nylon web tie-down straps with D-rings (4)

Riding Gear:

Lorne - Rhyno lined, waterproof jacket and matching lined pants, Redwing leather boots (treated with mink oil and Nikwax leather waterproofing wax).  Textile suit was treated with Nikwax TX-Direct waterproof spray.  This combination worked extremely well - even in 2 hours of heavy rain in Nova Scotia.  Bone dry throughout.  Feet were damp, but not soaked.
BMW Winter-Pro Gortex gloves and BMW leather/kevlar gloves.  Both performed to expectations.  Gloves were the wettest piece of clothing in extended heavy rain.  Held up great for about 1 hour.

Cindy - Joe Rocket Alter-Ego jacket, Rhyno lined riding pants - both waterproof.  Rhyno full length leather boots
(treated with mink oil and Nikwax leather waterproofing wax).  Textile suit was treated with Nikwax TX-Direct waterproof spray.
Joe Rocket Dry-Tech gloves and another pair, similar, but lined with Thinsulate.  Same as above.  Gloves were the wettest piece of clothing riding for extended periods in heavy rain.

We are both impressed with the performance of these brands, given the proloned exposure to good ol' Nova Scotia rain and Newfoundland mist/fog.

Nice to have a 'Stich or a Rukka but shelling out $$$ was not in the cards for this trip!!
